Nicole Sotis’ successful career in the bankcard industry spans over eighteen years where she has undertaken business development, training, and operations roles in the Southeast for the world’s largest payment processing acquirer and credit card issuing bank. In addition to working with the Financial Institutions for 15 years, Sotis gained executive experience in the role of Market President for a well-known ISO in the Southeast.
Sotis began her career with MBNA America Bank, NA from 1999 to 2003 in Boca Raton, Florida, while attending college at Florida Atlantic University. Prior to being acquired by Bank of America in 2004, MBNA was the world’s largest independent credit card issuer. She started part-time in the Telesales department, where she was consistently the top performer. After graduating in 2000, Sotis accepted a full time position in the Customer Satisfaction Department, where she was trained to provide superior service to clients, issue resolution, and effective methods to diffuse escalated situations.
In 2003, Sotis was introduced to the other side of the Bankcard Industry, Merchant Services, as a Commercial Account Executive with the global payment processor, First Data. From the headquarters in Atlanta, she specialized in boarding multi-location merchant accounts with complex integration, large e-commerce accounts, and advanced software solutions. Sotis was responsible for educating merchants and bank partners on innovative payment processing solutions and Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance.
During the twelve years with First Data, Sotis was ranked in the top 100 account executives for production year after year. In 2008, she was initiated into the prestigious President’s Club, ranked No. 11 out of over 1,500 Account Executives nationwide.
In July of 2014, Sotis took on the position of Market President with Tandem Innovative Payments, where she gained invaluable experience on the Independent Sales Organization side of the Merchant Service Industry. As Market President for Tandem, she was responsible for expanding Tandem’s geographic footprint throughout the Lowcountry region of South Carolina, and into the bustling, metropolitan Atlanta market, where she has maintained a large client base. This position gave Sotis the insight and tools necessary to provide a superior merchant experience to all business owners.
Thus came to pass the vision of continuing her father and forefathers’ legacy in providing unparalleled service to business owners since the original Orlando Sotis, an immigrant from Italy, started Sotis Office Machines, INC in in the early 1900’s.
